Parkway Drive

July 26, 2010

Deep Blue

RATING:

Set to a lyrical theme of redemption, this is Parkway Drive’s finest album. That is saying something for the country’s most popular, and best (whatever that means) hardcore band. Developing a theme seems to bring an holistic feel to the album, serving to reinforce an illusion that each song is another rickety bridge to further insight. Infused with an energy that is classical Parkway Drive, the album was produced by Joe Barresi who brought weird and wonderful sounds into the process while allowing the band to retain a live feel. Dive deep into this album. It will take your breath away. By Peter Ryan
